SPOTLIGHT COVID-19 Information/ Protocols
Spotlight places highest priority on students and staff safety and wellness. These two factors are essential to a successful and fulfilling summer for all. Guidelines from the American Camp Association, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and American Red Cross will guide our policy to maintain a clean, healthy environment.
The Summer Spot workshop staff will attend a pre-workshop education and training on policies pertaining to the health and wellness of our students. Staff will be trained on social distancing, proper hand washing, and mask wearing rules.
Spotlight preventative/ health safety measures will include:
· Regular health checks (temperature and respiratory symptom screening) of
Students and staff at check in each day
· Daily cleaning and sanitizing procedures before and after workshop
· Encouraging good hygiene (proper hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes)
· Separation of students into groups, social distancing and mask/face-covering
Our program will include daily disinfecting and sanitizing of shared equipment between usage.
All students and staff must wear masks or cloth face coverings, unless at snack, lunch, or outside in a designated rest station.
The goal is for all the students and staff to arrive rested and healthy. We will review other important health practices such as personal hygiene, workshop cleanliness, caring for personal belongings, and individual student needs.
We are committed to providing your family with a great Spotlight experience this summer, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Questions for Health screening each day will include:
